I just heard Barbara Olschner, U.S. Congressional candidate, District 2, (GOP), name four things that differentiate her from the three other candidates running in the Republican primary. She started with the fact that she has different plumbing. She didn't use those words of course. She went on about how the Democrats have more female representation than the Republicans and...Don't forget the 90th anniversary of female suffrage is today! Really? That's what is number one on your list? Can you imagine what would happen if one of the guys running against her had said the opposite...
Even if that wasn't enough to ensure my non-vote, the second difference she listed was the fact that she's a lawyer and because of that she understands the Constitution when she reads it. As opposed to the rest of us mundanes.

Just a little FYI Darlin', you don't need to be a lawyer to understand the Constitution.

Gov. Rick Perry

I think it's great that Gov. Rick Perry is reaffirming Texas' right to withdrawal from the Union. In fact, I think there are very few things that would be better for freedom & liberty, for all American's, than if one or more states decided to up and leave the Union; however, let's be clear about Perry.

He's a politician. He's facing a tough primary against Kay Baily Hutchinson and this move puts him in the good graces of a lot of people who'll be voting in that primary. He made a tactical move and while I think it was a great move on his part, that may be all it is. Politicians are big talkers, but they rarely come through. Why? They know all they have to do is talk the good talk, not walk it, and you'll vote for them. You've proved it over and over again.

One thing to remember about this particular politician. He loves the power of the executive. He's the same Governor that used an executive order to override the Texas Legislature in order to force a vaccine on little girls who don't need....

Dept. of Fatherland Security

Janet Napolitano and her goons at the Department of Homeland Security think you might be a "right-wing extremist".

But there's nothing to fear. George Bush created the Department of Homeland Security after all. And when those of us who actually believe in Freedom & Liberty warned about DHS, the "Patriot" Act I & II, the Military Commissions Act, etc., the neo-cons assured us all was safe.

Clearly nothing untoward could come of something created by those Freedom lovers in the republican party.....

Update: Rush Limbaugh brought up this topic during his morning minute on the local radio station. He said something to the effect of, "the Department of Homelan..excuse me folks the Obama Department of Homeland security." People like Limbaugh & Hannity are a part of the problem. The idea that some government department or progrom would be a-okay if only it were controlled by the right people is a lie. Limbaugh is just another Statist puppet.

Proper Gift

I married up...there's no doubt about that and it's a good thing.

My wife...she knows how to give a proper gift. She hit a home run for our 2nd Anniversary!

That's right boys...Fuente Fuente Opus X! I haven't had a good cigar in a while so as soon as I saw it I knew I was gonna be havin' a good smoke and I did, but it wasn't a cigar...

Because the next gift was a Home Run with the bases loaded! That's right I got a brand spankin' new pipe!

It's gorgeous and just above it is my favorite local pipeweed 'Charter House'. I immediately started packing it. The first smoke was nice. It's not going to take much to break it in. I can already tell it's going to be my preferred pipe.

Yep...I'm a lucky man!

Hope all the folks out there who support the War on 'Some' Drugs feel good about their government prosecuting a man for making & selling a product that other people wanted.

...perhaps the product you supply to society won't be considered in vogue enough to be legal one day...wonder how you'll feel then.

The democrats are giving this guy a virtual blow job. One congressman actually asked, 'Why don't you use your power to nationalize the banks' and 'Why don't you FORCE LENDING'! imphasis mine.

For eight long years Three Monkey Republicans wouldn't speak, see or hear anything negative against GWB. Why? Because....There's a War On! God forbid you say anything against Der Leader in a time of war. It didn't matter if he was spending uncontrollably or assaulting our liberties. What did we get because you had to 'Stand by Your Man' in a time of War? Here's a few gems:

Of course, now Republicans are ready to fight for us. They want to be responsible with our money and return to their roots...I've got some ocean front property to sell ya if you believe them.

Where do we stand now? We get to live with all of these new departments and acts in the hands of Socialists. Don't complain when they tap your phone or try to register you because of the job you perform...after all, There's still a War On!

So to all you Three Monkey Republicans out there, enjoy the bed you made.

For the record, I voted third party in 2000, 2004 & 2008. God gave me a little thing called Wisdom and I used it.

The New Sessesion Movement

Apparently there are twenty states talking about the Jeffersonian principle of session. Check out the Glenn Beck YouTube below with New Hampshire Congressman Dan Itse.

What would the current administrations response be to 1 or more states seceding from the union? Well we can only go off of what the President has told us.

He has made it abundantly clear that he loves Lincoln and wants to be like him. With this information we can only assume that President Obama's response to seceding states would be to start a war that would kill 2 percent of the population or 6,117,546 men, women and children.

Well I've taken Nate's advise and purchased Country Wisdom & Know-How. My son has been going through it and he's really excited, "Let's do this and this...and this too!"

I'm currently in the planning stages of my move out of the city and back to the country. I'm looking into farm land that's within 30 - 45 minutes from my place of employment. I'm hoping to get a least 50 acres.

Some of the things I'd like to do:

Chickens
Pigs
Vegetable Garden
Herb Garden
Big Dog - Wife liked the idea of getting a Shepard a la Nate
